As an indication that robots are now out of the factory and bedroom,  industrial-strength Japanese manufacturer Yaskawa Electric has announced plans to make roboporters.

I've attached the Youtube brief.

Since I've personally experienced the situation where an IRL porter seems to wander around behind columns in the lobby rather than carry the luggage to your room, I can see a big future in the product.
