I am planning on building a small droid for some control experiments (in other words I just want a little guy that drives around my living room at high speed :) .

Can anyone recommend a good place where I can find smallish wheels (~7cm) for it? Preferably in Aus but overseas is fine as well if that is all there is.

Also, what is the recommended mounting methd for wheels like this? I guess the ideal answer would be wheels with hitech servo horns built into them…

Thanks!

Believe it or not, they *do* come with builtin horns. 7 cm is a bit on the large side for most wheels. But I'm sure Tamaya can handle it.

Don't know of any suppliers — even hobby shops I've visited are light for most robo parts, incl wheels — but I've dealt with a couple of the companies listed in the Knowledge Base with "wheels" in the comments. At least one I remember has wheels with multi-standard servo horns on them (prob Tamaya brand).

Another listed just handles industrial-strength robot wheels for gladiators. But check out their web page, anyway.

Good luck! :)
