If you answered yes to any or all of the above questions then you are in luck because RoboExoticUS 2008 is currently on and it is awesome.

Like Lynx industrial arms and the Roomba, RoboExotica focuses on the main purpose of robotics research – ‘Making our lives better’. In this case, that is by developing robots that can make us delicious alcoholic drinks (which *could* be translated into ‘Making our livers worse’ but no one cares about that so let’s pretend I didn’t bring it up).

I personally believe that the peak of robotics will be achieved once my house brings me a beer when I get home from work. Thinking about that again, that event will either be the zenith of AI/Robotics research, based on years of behaviour learning through observation coupled with advanced image analysis and distributed processing or confirmation that I am an alcoholic.
