YouTube down again
OK, this is no longer just stoopid, it’s getting to be a bother!
YouTube seems to be down yet again. From my random sample it seems the site has been unavailable for most functions except viewing for the past 3 weeks.
What’s the deal? Do they now schedule regular downtime for the 16 hrs of the day that don’t correspond with 9-5 pacific time?
If and when I find something reliable, and also better quality than Google videos I’m going to have to migrate everything across…
The Humanoid is now walking and turning OK (2 completely different sets of issues involved).
The next step in the project will be a few more defensive and some attacking moves for robot-on-robot ate waza.
The "pyramid" balacing position has worked out OK. But my idea of using it to tuble around the place by moving one of the limbs in contact with the ground has not yet proved successful. But I still think it’s worth pursuing.
Vids will be attached when I can get them up somewhere.

Good to see you are still making progress (or not see as the case may be 
You could possibly try Vimeo as a video server. I have seen an increase in movies hosted on them. They are presented in a nice clean fashion and also allow higher res (even HD) vids which is nice. It’s interesting going back to YouTube afterwards and seeing the crap quality vids there.
I have no idea if they will embed (using the drupal embedded media fields) in the same way as youtube but I’ll find out for ya!
In the new site I would like to get a channel together (using whatever video hosts we choose) so that we can see all the ausrobotics stuff on one page. Would also be nice to have a ‘Random Video’ section on the page. Of course they would all be your vids but it would be cool to give people a glimpse of what we are up to
I’ll definitely give them a try.
