Simple maze-solving robot

I was wandering around the usual haunts, WAITING FOR SOMETHING — ANYTHING — TO ARRIVE THROUGH THE PARCEL POST (7 orders now outstanding), and came across this at Trossenrobotics.
A couple of servos mounted on a piece of plastic, with the maze created from drinking staws. All the control is programmed in after mondo experimentation, in case you’re wondering.
Obviously a very easy-to-build setup, but there’s at least 1 extension involving a camera that’d make it interesting for a uni open-day. ![]()
So simple yet so cool
Reminded me of this project I saw a while ago. It was innovative in that it used the OpenCV image lib to do the point tracking in order to implement something like the vid above on a PDA!
