I love the biomimetic programming in this one. Even just how it backs away when he gets in close.
I’m sure the programming wasn’t even that complex in the end (Ok, I’m not sure but I know how I would do it).
Yes, pretty neat limb control. Of course, it’s not doing too much moving, standing on a workbench.
I also noticed the size of the servos. Maybe bigger is better when it comes to neat, small, movements.
I was tinkering around trying to detect gaze. Locating faces and eyes with vid processing is a bit tricky – I can barely trace a single face in real-time at present — but the idea of using the right IR emitter and maximizing the "redeye" seems a promising approach.
Yeah definitely. That is how things like CityLink track the number of people in a car according to something I read somewhere.
I would be interested in seeing how it works for me as the standard ’skin colour’ detector in RoboRealm doesn’t seem to match my skin colour for some reason hehe
Sounds like you have a lot of great stuff to play with at the moment. It’s gonna take you ages to get through it all!
Very fluid, smooth movement. I checked out the other info on the website, there are some videos of it walking around as well as some detail on construction and control.
I really should devote some time to my two four legged robots…
