Contribute and win!

Ok, so you might not actually win anything tangible but isn’t ‘winning’ the awesome feeling that you have contributed to the future enslavement of humanity enough? :)

I have sorted out most of the major stuff on the CMS so now the only thing missing is content. If you feel like you have something to say and would like to contribute something to AusRobotics then you are more than welcome to leave info in the comments send an email to (content AT ausrobotics DOT com) until I can get the user system working better.

You don’t need to have much to say, the main thing is to turn this place into a central meeting place for Australian robotics enthusiasts so that we don’t have to keep reading about all of the awesome things that are available on the other side of the world (although getting stuff shipped here is luckily pretty affordable these days) :)

If you know about:

* Building robots
* Writing software for robots
* Interesting robot related websites or videos
* The intricacies of the new Transformer movie’s plot

then we want to hear about it!

Contribute and, er, ‘Win’! :)

    I don’t know whether it’s my Wintoxbox, but the button labelled “Syndicate” doesn’t seem to come up right. Dredging through the XML it promises video of swimming robot snakes and (probably) more. :)

    What do I have to hit with a hammer over here to get the thing to load up?

    UPDATE:

    OK. I found your blog page and the videos where there.

    Now for my next dumb question — how can other users create blogs? I have also a few videos, pix and other bits and pieces that might be of interest.

    Also — maybe we should start writing up a FAQ.

    I’ve been ordering robots & robot kits and have a long list of companies that do business, and others that maybe should be avoided, as well as lists of sites where things are reviewed, as well as some comments of my own.

    Do I just create a “FAQ” subject and start adding?

    I am pretty sure that members can have their own blogs etc. I’ll have another look at what features are available as soon as I can and enable it. :)

    Ok, I have enabled your member blog. You can access it by clicking on the ‘My blog’ link that you should now have on the top left. Enjoy!

    If anyone else would like one please let me know :)
